The East 15 Acting School in Loughton has been voted top for student satisfaction in the UK
A well-known and widely respected drama institute has been voted as the number one destination for student satisfaction in the UK.
East 15 Acting School, Loughton, hit the top spot of the National Student Survey, which gathers student opinions on their course quality, choices available and overall enjoyment every year.
More than 300,000 students were surveyed, before the Rectory Lane school was announced at the number one spot, this week.
Director of East 15, Professor Leon Rubin said; “This success it testament to the incredibly hard work of a very dedicated academic and administrative team who always place student attainment and well-being at the core of what they do.”
While the average score across all participating institutions in the UK was 85% for overall satisfaction, East 15 Acting School attained 98%.
The specialist drama institute was founded just over 50 years ago. In 2000, it merged with the University of Essex and, since 2007, has been under the directorship of Leon Rubin.
Under Mr Rubin’s management, some £13 million has been spent on new buildings and facilities for East 15 in Loughton and in Southend-On-Sea where the school created the state-of-the-art Clifftown Theatre and Studios.
The international East 15 community now includes some 650 students from over 40 countries.
