Buxton School has best ever results for third year running
Another school is celebrating its best ever exam results today with an 18 per cent rise on last year’s results.
Buxton School in Terling Close, Leytonstone, saw 65 per cent of its 133 students achieve five or more A* to C grades including English and maths, an increase of 18 per cent, and 98 per cent of students achieving five or more A* to C grades.
The results mean Buxton has had its best ever results for the third year running.
Steven Vuong, the school’s best performer, said “everything had paid off” when he saw his eight A* and four A grades.
Headteacher Teacher Moazam Parvez said he expected nearly all students to go on to college, and for most of them to go to university afterwards.
Executive Head Teacher Kath Wheeler said: “This is just the beginning of what our young people can achieve and we wish them good luck as they move on to their next stage of education and life experience.”
