Over 200 people, including the mayor and council leader, attended an autism charity's Sunday church service to raise awareness for the condition.
Parents Ivan and Charika Corea founded UK Autism Foundation, based in George Lane, South Woodford, in 2000. Their son Charin was diagnosed as autistic in 1998.
The Mayor of Redbridge, Cllr Felicity Banks, and Council Leader Keith Prince attended the service at All Saints' Church, Woodford Wells, Woodford Green.
The clergy and the music group wore autism awareness ribbons in support of the charity.
