People living near a house which was burgled have expressed there concerns following what is believed to be the second break-in at the property in the last year.

Officers were called to Beaconfield Way in Epping, at 11.30am after a neighbour reported people entering a house.

Two people from Harlow, a 17-year-old boy, and a 21-year-old man, were arrested nearby after a police helicopter was scrambled.

Nick Humbles, 33, who lives in the road, said: “It’s extremely worrying.

“I can't believe they did it in the middle of the day, I’ll make sure I’m very careful with security from now on.”

Another neighbour living close to the scene, who asked not to be named, said it was the second time in 12 months that the house had been broken into.

She added: “It’s worrying, especially in the middle of the day.

“We had bikes outside over the weekend but I'll definitely think twice about leaving anything outside from now on.”
