Road users could see significant improvements to transport infrastructure following a multi-million pound bid for investment.

Projects to improve highways, reduce accidents and encourage healthier journeys by foot and bike are being proposed by Redbridge council.

A Local Implementation Plan (LIP) bid for £4million funding to Transport for London (TfL) will be made following a meeting on Wednesday.

The projects include road renewal, bridge strengthening, accident remediation, bus stop accessbility improvements and cycle parking at bus and train stations.
