A picturesque pub has taken the coveted crown in an annual flower contest.
The Theydon Oak, in Coopersale Street, has triumphed in this year's Epping in Bloom competition.
Town councillors were impressed by the Grade II listed pub's floral display, and awarded it the Rose Bowl for the second time in three years.
The pub has now won the competition eight times since the award was first presented in 1990.
Epping mayor Barbara Scruton, who presented the award, said: "The pub has had a beautiful, colourful display of flowers and hanging baskets and was worthy of recognition yet again."
