The public is being asked to put forward ideas for how £10,000 of council funding in Leytonstone should be spent.
Councillors discussed how they would spend money at last night’s community forum meeting at St John’s Church Hall, in High Road, Leytonstone.
Proposals fall under three categories, projects to improve front gardens, increase sport opportunities for young people and support arts activities.
These include £500-worth of Leyton Orient FC taster sessions in the games area of Harold Road, and £1,190-worth of training programmes for Leytonstone School students
Labour Leytonstone Cllr Marie Pye said: “Leyton Orient FC in particular has been very keen to get involved.
“The decision in theory rests with councillors but we want all the people from Leytonstone to help us out.
“We are asking people to get in touch and bombard us with ideas before the next meeting in January.
