A care home is set to host an annual party for residents next month as part of a global celebration.
Pinewood Care Home in Manford Way, Chigwell will be joined by Chigwell and Hainault's League of Jewish Women for this years Mitzvah Day Party in November.
The event, which will cater for 52 residents of the Chigwell carehome, will entertain through a variety of live music and performers.
Mitzvah Day, which was founded in 2005, sees over 35,000 people each year participate in local social action such as care home parties, home repairs and spreading wellbeing.
Rosalind Greenberg of Chigwell and Hainault League of Jewish Women said: "the event will hopefully mark a nice day for the elderly in the home and all around the country.
"We have already recieved good will donations from shops in the area to fund food and entertainment.
"We just hope all the residents have a lovely day."
