Nominations are now open for an award that recognises contribution to the community.
Epping Town Council (ETC) is inviting residents to nominate an individual for the annual Townsperson of the Year award, with nominations open until January 13 2015.
The award is for a local person who has given voluntary time to an Epping club or charity, or made a “longstanding commitment” to the town and its people.
Previous winners have included scout leader Phil Nation who was well known by local cubs for his strict but fair leadership.
This year’s winner will be chosen by the council and will receive their award at the Mayor’s Civic Reception in April 2015.
Nomination forms are available from ETC offices or online.
