A teenager has been banned from entering certain roads under the terms of an anti-social behaviour order.

Cody Dabreo, of Millicent Road in Leyton, was issued the ASBO at Thames Magistrates Court  on Tuesday.

The police described him as a serious offender.

Under the conditions of the order, which will last for two years, Mr Dabreo is prohibited from entering Bude Close and Falmouth Way in Walthamstow, associating with Courtney Paul and acting in a way which could cause distress to another person.

He must also live and sleep each night at his home address.

Although the order is not a criminal conviction, breaking the terms can be treated as a criminal offence.

If found guilty, the punishment for breaking an ASBO can include a prison term of up to five years.

PC Jose Lewis, from Waltham Forest's Anti-Social Behaviour Team, said more orders will follow if people are seen to be causing distress in the community.

"We are determined to ensure that the streets of Waltham Forest are safe and arrest those who carry out anti-social behaviour offences,” she added.

“We will continue to work closely with our partners, ensuring we prevent offenders from committing any further crimes. ASBOs, such as this one, will help keep street crime away from our borough."
