A missing pensioner has been found by police but has been taken to hospital after spending all night on the street.
Phillip Hackney, 82, from Chigwell who was reported missing yesterday, has been found safe in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton shortly before 10am.
Mr Hackney was taken to nearby Whipps Cross Hospital, where he went missing after visiting a relative, and is currently receiving treatment having been outdoors all night.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We would like to thanks all members of the media and users of social media who have helped in the search for Mr Hackney."
