Leyton Orient have a couple of doubts ahead of this weekend's all-ticket trip to Northampton Town with Dean Cox missing training this week due to a niggle.

Midfielder Bradley Pritchard was ruled out of last Saturday's draw against Wycombe Wanderers due to a groin injury and may struggle to make the Cobblers clash.

On Pritchard's injury, Hendon said: "He felt something in training but that could be due to the amount of distance he covers in games so it's not surprising he's going to get little tweaks.

"All I would say is no matter what pre-season we've done we haven't got any long-term injuries. We've got nobody on the physio couch long term so whatever we've done has worked ok."

Hendon has a decision to make over his side after Ollie Palmer and Blair Turgott made significant contributions from off the bench on Saturday.

He said: "It has given me food for thought for Saturday to be honest so we will see how everyone trains this week before we make a decision."

Hendon said: "He's [Palmer] been knocking on the door from day one. He played in midweek for the reserves last week and scored and he's putting pressure on.

"Obviously Jay's [Simpson] the man of the moment but he's putting big pressure on Paul [McCallum] and that's what we want. Paul might not like it but that's life and we have to get on with it."

Northampton are eighth in the table and Hendon is wary about their attacking threat.

He said: "Northampton are sharp and bright and dangerous on the break. They're quick and lively at the top end of the pitch.

"I know Chris Wilder from our time playing at Leyton Orient together. He's had time to put together his squad and they are well equipped for this division."
