Leyton Orient head coach Ian Hendon admits his side's 1-1 draw at Northampton Town felt like a defeat despite a 96th minute equaliser from Dean Cox.
The O's were heading for defeat after a late Dominic Calvert-Lewin header but Cox's stunning free-kick levelled the game.
But Orient dominated the match and only an inspired second-half performance from home goalkeeper Adam Smith denied the visitors from winning comfortably.
Hendon, whose side dropped off the top of League Two after the result, said: "It feels more like a defeat the way we played throughout the game and the saves the goalkeeper's made. It was disappointing to come off with a point in the end.
"But to go a goal down at the end that late and come back and score with a bit of quality of course it's pleasing."
He added: "He [Cox] came up with that moment of magic and that's what he brings to the team so I'm delighted for him."
There was a big blow in the second half when substitute Paul McCallum was stretchered off but the seriousness of the striker's injury is still unknown.
Hendon said: "They're assessing him now [McCallum] so you can never tell with these things. He's in there now but we won't anything on that until Monday."
