Dean Cox has dedicated his stunning equaliser for Leyton Orient at Northampton Town to everyone affected by the Shoreham air crash.

Cox lives near Shoreham and the former Brighton midfielder has helped set up a charity day to pay his respects to the victims of the accident.

A charity match will feature during tomorrow's event (Sunday) at Haywards Heath Football Club. The family fun day will help raise money for the Air Ambulance, the British Red Cross and the families affected by the air crash.

Cox, whose injury time free-kick earned Orient a 1-1 draw at Northampton, said: "That goal can go out to all the people in Shoreham.

"There's a festival with a football match and I will be there just to show my face and pay my respects. It will be an emotional day but I'm looking forward to going there. Hopefully that goal will put a smile on people's faces and hopefully it will be a great day for everyone there."

The O's fans' favourite has said if anyone has anything related to Orient or want to make a donation, even if it is after tomorrow's charity day, it would be greatly appreciated.
