STAFF at a Chingford pub are urging people to drop off unwanted gifts to be distributed to children in poorer countries.
Susan Burger of the Queen Elizabeth pub
The Queen Elizabeth, in Forest Side, Chingford, is supporting the national Operation Christmas Child appeal.
The pub is currently a drop-off poitn where people can hand in shoeboxes full of toys and gifts.
Completed boxes must be dropped off at the pub before November 18 to allow time for transportation.
Emma Eyres, general manager, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile campaign. “We'll be doing everything we can to spread festive cheer and to put a smile on the faces of children in the most desperate situations around the world.”
