A large Woodford squad was pumped up and ready for their first game of the season against local opposition Chingford. With 28 players available there was plenty of opportunity to rotate the team throughout the match (3 periods of 30 minutes).
Woodford RFC U15's won promotion to the Essex first division with a convincing 50 - 10 win over Eton Manor.
With the rain holding off after a pre-match shower, conditions were perfect as Woodford welcomed Division 1 Upper Clapton for what turned out to be an enthralling and sportingly played game. With a significant number of first team forwards unavailable, the strength in depth and the spirit of the Woodford squad was going to tested in what turned out to be a very close run contest.
Woodford Under-15s climbed to third in Division Two with a convincing 41-17 win over Chelmsford on Sunday.

On a windy Sunday morning Woodford took on Cheshunt team from the Herts/Middlesex league; the game played on a surprisingly good surface at Woodford’s Roding Lane pitch.

Woodford were able to field two sides at Under 15 this week and hosted a strong and determined Thurrock B team.
Woodford U15 A team travelled up the M11 to Harlow in great form and positive spirit being unbeaten since November. Having overrun Harlow by a resounding margin of 54-7 in a league game earlier in the season Woodford wanted to confirm it had not been a flash in the pan.
