A TRIO of eager young bands play The Square in Harlow this Thursday (March 25) as part of its annual rock contest.
Acts include When Did We Get To Vegas?, Invisus and De-Railed.
Tickets are £4 and it starts at 8pm.
On Friday (March 26) the venue hosts PopDad supported by Beta Rays. Entry is £5 for members, £6 for non-members, and the music gets going at 8.30pm.
On Saturday (March 27) I Dream in Colour headline, with Chambers, Royal and Hadleigh Ford also rocking out. Entry is £4 and doors are at 8pm.
Pianist Liam Noble heads East 17 Jazz's night at the Plough Inn, Walthamstow, this Thursday (March 25).
Backed up by accomplices Dave Wickens on the drums and Dave Whitford on the bass, expect a masterful performance.
The evening gets going at 8pm, and entry is £5.
Fantastic fiddler Tom MacConville plays the Plough on Sunday (March 28), as part of Walthamstow Folk Club's weekly event there.
Widely acclaimed and liked, Mr MacConville is also noted for being crowned Musician of the Year at the 2009 BBC Folk Awards.
The tunes start at 7.30pm. Entry is £7, or £6 for concessions.
Monday (March 29) is free blues jam night from 9pm at the Plough.
The Ryan O'Reilly Band headline the Sheepwalk in Leytonstone High Road next Wednesday (March 31), thanks to local promoters What's Cookin'.
Known for their wide-ranging underground bluesy-folk, these chaps have also attracted praise for their “gorgeous” harmonies.
Support comes from folky singer-songwriter Alex Highton and Sussex-based ukulele instrumental trio The Richwoods.
Get there for 8.30pm. Entry is free but donations welcome.
A trio of unsigned bands play the Standard in Blackhorse Road, Walthamstow, this Thursday (March 25).
Acts include Watch Out Vegas, Zombie Riot and Tower 8. Entry is £5 with a band flyer, or £6 without. The night, organised by promoters Club Bus Wind, kicks off at 8.30pm.
Rush tribute act Signals to Hemispheres play the venue on Friday (March 26). Tickets are £9.
Then on Saturday (March 27) The Counterfeit Beatles bust out the hits. Admission is also £9.
Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a Singaround night on Sunday (March 28). Entry is £1.50p and it takes place at the British Legion HQ in Brooker Road from 8.30pm.
