DIDN'T manage to get a ticket for the 40th ever Glastonbury Festival this weekend? Fear not!
Because there's a veritable feast of musical delights up and down east London and west Essex to enjoy over the next few days – and you won't need to eat mud and sleep in puddles of rain and urine to enjoy it!
The Tori Freestone Trio headline E17 Jazz's night at the Plough Inn, Walthamstow, this Thursday (June 24).
Playing a mix of original compositions and some classic covers, this new band have been praised for their eponymous saxophonist's skillful playing.
Doors open at 8pm for an 8.30pm start. Admission is £5.
Walthamstow Folk club winds up its current season with a showcase of up-and-coming artists at the Plough on Sunday (June 27).
The 'Futureproof IV' show is well worth a look for those wanting to catch a glimpse of some fresh new talent.
It starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available on the door for £6, or £5 for concessions.
Blues Jam Night is on Monday (June 28) at the Plough. It gets going at 9pm and is free.
Nashville's Phil Lee headlines the Sheepwalk next Wednesday (June 30) at a What's Cookin' night.
Hailed for his rock n' roll infused country music, Mr Lee is known for the “hard-earned” wisdom in his lyrics.
Support comes from duo Mike and Sally.
Doors open at 8.30pm and entry is free.
Tribute act Dirty Santana play the Standard in Walthamstow on Saturday (June 26).
Entry is £9 and doors open around 8pm.
Waltham Abbey Folk Club has a Singaround jam night at the Royal British Legion HQ in Brooker Road.
Entry is £1.50p and doors are at 8.30pm.
Live band Sugar Kube play Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre Pub in Hoe Street, Walthamstow, on Sunday (June 27).
It starts at 6pm and entry is free.
Josh Kemp plays the East Side Jazz Club at the Lord Rookwood in Leytonstone next Tuesday (June 29).
Entry is usually £5 and doors open at 8.30pm.
