Happy Birthday to Loughton Folk Club, which is one-year-old this week!
Its organisers have managed to keep up a steady menu of goodness over the past 12 months, and have also raised hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds for a variety of good causes in the process.
To celebrate it hosts an anniversary bash this Thursday (October 27) headlined by versatile duo Foxen, with proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust charity.
What's more, the club will also use the night to launch a compilation CD of tracks from artists who have performed there over the past year.
It costs £5, with all profits going to Crisis, yet another good cause.
The gig is £3 and doors open at 8pm. It's at the Loughton Club in Station Road, right near the Tube station.
Over in Ilford, the Redbridge Green Fair group hold a young musicians showcase on Friday (October 28).
Acts playing include keyboard player Ryan Green, multi-talented fivesome The Loft and rock trio Poison Berries.
It's at Ilford Sports Club at the Cricklefield Stadium in the High Road.
Doors open at 8pm and entry is £4, or £2 for under 18s.
It's a tribute act double-bill at the Standard in Walthamstow this weekend.
Absolute Bowie takes to the stage on the Friday (October 28), with the Counterfeit Beatles headlining on Saturday (October 29).
The Bowie gig costs a tenner, Beatles £9. Doors open for both gigs at around 8pm. The venue is in Blackhorse Road.
Nice guy and glorious singer-songwriter Reg Meuross plays Walthamstow Folk Club on Sunday (October 30).
Doors are at 7.30pm and it costs £6, or £5 for concessions. The show is at Ye Olde Rose and Crown in Hoe Street, Walthamstow.
Berkshire-based band Case Hardin play The Birkbeck Tavern in Leytonstone next Wednesday (November 2).
The gig, organised by promoters What's Cookin', takes place in the Langthorne Road pub from 8.30pm.
It's free but donations welcome.
