Boogie woogie master Jamie Rowan plays the Birkbeck Tavern in Langthorne Road, Leytonstone, on Sunday (November 6).
In his 30-year career Mr Rowan has played on TV and radio shows across the land, toured extensively and received praise for his “thrilling and dynamic” live performances.
Support comes from Americana act Josh Harty and Raymond Meade.
The first performer is on at 6pm.
Entry is free but donations welcome. It's organised by promoters What's Cookin'.
The eclectic Les Elvin plays Loughton Folk Club on Thursday (November 3).
He plays guitar, harmonica and bouzouki with a repertoire including blues, ballads, ragtime and instrumentals.
Support comes from Michael Shevelew. Entry is £2 and doors open at 8pm.
Then on Sunday (November 6) the club hosts a special evening of protest songs in aid of Amnesty International and St Clare Hospice in Hastingwood.
Entry is a bargain £1 with a wide variety of acts playing including Micky Brown & Richie Barratt, Blue Harbour, Dennis Homes, Pete Hunt, Nigel Moorcroft, Steve O’Donoghue, Phil Hewett, Jim Coombes, Steve O’Kane & Fiona McBain and Pete Relph, plus many more.
Extra voluntary donations also gratefully received.
The gig starts at 8pm.
Both shows are at the Loughton Club building in Station Road.
Jody Kruskal headlines Walthamstow Folk Club on Sunday (November 6).
He's an American-based musician who likes to invent his own instruments and is acclaimed for his concertina playing. It'll be a squeezetastic evening.
Entry is £6, for £5 for concessions.
Doors open at 7.30pm and it's at Ye Olde Rose and Crown pub in Hoe Street.
Whitesnake UK headline the Standard Music Venue in Walthamstow on Saturday night (November 5).
Doors to the bar, in Blackhorse Lane, open around 8pm and entry is £9.
Rock band The Afterparty play the Square in Harlow on Saturday night (November 5).
Support comes from Burn So Bright and Smells Like Nathan.
Admission is £5 and it's an all ages gig. Doors are at 8pm.
Henry Lowther plays the East Side Jazz Club in the Lord Rookwood pub in Leytonstone next Tuesday (November 8).
Entry is usually £5 and doors at 8.30pm.
