A 77-YEAR-OLD man was barged aside from a cashpoint in Wanstead and robbed of £300 in one of a spate of recent attacks.

He was outside Barclays in the High Street at 9pm on Thursday, February 8, and had entered his pin number when the attack occurred.

Just then a man pushed him from the side and held him to the wall. His accomplice withdrew £300 from the machine and they ran off in the direction of Nightingale Lane before getting into a four door dark blue car.

Both men are around 24 years old, black and 6ft tall. Both had short dark hair, and one had a slim build and was wearing a dark coloured coat, while the other had a medium build.

Two days later at 7pm a 28-year-old man outside Nat West in George Lane when a man jumped at him and kneed him, punching him away from the machine, and telling him not to try anything'.

At this point another man took his card from the machine before the pair ran off up George Lane escaping into Cleveland Road.

Both men are around 18-years-old, and black. One was 5ft 10ins tall with a London accent, wearing a grey hooded top black shoes and dark trousers, while the other was 6ft tall with a slim build and navy blue trousers.

Back in Wanstead High Street the following day a 35-year-old man was using the cash machine at Barclays to check his account just after 8pm. As he entered his pin, a man ran from across the road and punched him in the chest, dragging him to the ground away from the machine.

Another then tried unsuccessfully to withdraw money but a passer-by came across and shouted at the pair who made off in a silver Ford Fiesta.

Both are around 18-years-old, slim built, and black, wearing black hooded jackets and dark trousers. One is around 5ft 6ins tall and the other around 5ft 7ins.
