Choosing a Nursery is an important decision for any parent to make. For many, it will be the first time that they will leave their child in the capable hands of others. With such a vast and ever growing variety of nurseries in the local areas, each offering a different approach towards early years learning, finding an establishment best suited to the needs of a child, can be overwhelming and time consuming task.

To help with the pressure and to ease the stress. the Guardian produces on 28th March 2009, a publication called 'Know Your Nursery'. The last one being in March of this year. The 24 page magazine, was produced to help parents and carers with children under 5 years old, find a nursery, pre-school or playgroup in their local area. We also included editorial on, what to look for and questions to ask when choosing the right establishment for your child, how to help your child learn through play and a check list of what to have in your First Aid box.

The publication was distributed to doctors surgeries, Health Centres and libraries in and around the Guardians coverage areas. 'Know Your Nursery' was also uploaded onto the Guardian website as a virtual magazine with a click through to the advertiser's websites for more information. A free copy of this publication can be requested via email, the coupon advertised in all our papers, or just a telephone call.

27th March 2009 sees the return of this highly successful publication, which has been renamed' Your complete Guide to Early years Education' The publication will offer the same distribution coverage along with advertisements from Nurseries, Pre-schools, Playgroups and any other business offering an educational service to under 5s.
