SIX candidates will be fighting for the vacant seat on Epping Forest District Council when a by-election is held in the Loughton Alderton ward on Thursday, August 30.
The by-election follows the resignation of British National Party Terry Farr, who was one of the first BNP councillors elected to the district council.
Contesting the seat are: Stephen Barnes (Labour), Rose Brookes (Loughton Residents Association), Tony Frankland (British National Party), Andrew Smith (UK Independence Party), Edward Stacey (Conservative) and Neil Woollcott (Liberal Democrat).
