THE Beckham Trail was created by Waltham Forest Council in 2003 and offers fans a walk around Chingford following the early life of the football superstar.
It includes the Peter May Sports Centre, where the young David Beckham scored 100 goals in three seasons playing for the under 10 side, and continues to the Walthamstow Stadium, on Chingford Road, where he worked as a £10-a-night glass collector on greyhound race nights.
Other notable landmarks are Chase Lane Junior School and Chingford School, where David went to school. It was at secondary school that he won the Bobby Charlton Soccer Tournament.
The final stop on the trail is Gilwell Park, home of the Scouts Association, where he went on cub camp.
