Leyton Orient have signed Stoke City midfielder Jamie Ness on an emergency 28-day loan.

The 22-year-old is the O's first January signing and goes into the squad for tomorrow's FA Cup tie at Yeovil Town.

Orient are desperately short of players after a spate of injuries which has also ruled midfielder Romain Vincelot out of the match due to a knee problem.

Ness joined Stoke City in 2012 from Rangers and the midfielder has made one appearance for the Premier League side.

Orient are expected to be busy during the transfer window with a goalkeeper and striker their priority following long-term injuries to Jamie Jones and Shaun Batt.
