West Ham United are targeting the signing of Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott on loan during January’s transfer window.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has made the England defender a key target as he looks to bolster his injury-ravaged squad.
Currently second from bottom in the Premier League, Allardyce has seen his side fall to five straight defeats including a 5-0 thrashing by Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
Lescott has struggled for game time at City and has started just seven Premier League matches this season.
