West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Catania forward Maxi Lopez.

The Argentine striker is understood to want a move away from Italy and would probably welcome a move to the Premier League.

Lopez has enjoyed a busy career having played for the likes of AC Milan, Barcelona and River Plate.

I think this is not the player, we require.
You have to ask why so many clubs !!
Need a good old fashioned team player, with the guts and passion to dig in for a hard fight, for the club and the fans.
I'm afraid that only one who seems to fit the bill to our current style of play, is Rickie Lambert, he knows the league, the guys in the team, and can hit the ground running.
Stop looking for a loan that's not match fit or a misfit, only out to indulge their own bank accounts, from the frustrated fans pockets, get the cheque book out and buy him, show him he is wanted and respected enough to sign and please stop trying to bring in deadwood panic buys.
Because we will be stuck paying for players who will never play, due to the returning lads from injury.
