Essex Premier Cup

Harold Wood Athletic booked their place in the quarter-finals with a 3-2 win over Toby.

Paul Carr netted twice for Toby but the Premier Division side overcame this by scoring three times via Ade Onilyan, Joe Moffat and Billy Fairbanks.

Premier Division

Southminster St Leonards are the new leaders of the Premier Division after they beat Bishop's Stortford Swifts 3-2.

Greig Taylor bagged a brace with the other goal coming via Michael Palmieri while Gavin Cockman and Dean McAteer net for Swifts.

The victory sees Southminster St Leonards topping the table on 30 points.

Swifts dropped a place as Frenford Senior moved above them thanks to a 3-2 win over Harold Hill.

Stuart Williams, Jon Wightman and Joe McEvoy grabbed the Frenford goals. Harold Hill were able to score twice themselves via Reece Cosson and Roddy Lemba.

Division One

The rain may have wiped out the rest of the scheduled games in the division but it didn’t dampen Hutton’s spirits.

The leaders went on to beat Benfleet 4-3 and in the process open up a six-point lead over Springfield.

Chris Rowlett (2), Ricky Butler and Luke Meadwright were the Hutton marksmen. Benfleet’s replies came via Robbie Topley (2) and Stuart Paton

Division Two

Lakeside won their sixth game on the spin with a 1-0 win over lowly Roydon.

Lakeside are now ahead of Runwell Hospital at the top of the table after Ben Lambert scored the all-important goal. Ongar Town are up to second after they gained a 3-1 victory over Upminster.

Ben Polley hit his 19th goal of the season with Niki Love and Adam Collier also on target.

Ongar Town are ahead of Runwell Hospital on goal difference, with both teams having 26 points. Both teams also have games in hand over Lakeside.

Marcus Bowyers led the way with a hat-trick as Basildon Town blew away Ryan with a 6-0 away victory.

Reece Conway, Tom Barton and Marky Saunders are the other Basildon marksmen.

Division Three

Alemite Athletic pushed on with their promotion bid by claiming a 4-2 victory at Epping, who scored twice via Jack Clarke but ended up shipping four at the other end.

Ricky Cook was the main protagonist as he scored a hat-trick for Alemite with Lewis Whitnall coming off the subs bench to score the other. The win moves Alemite up to third.
