Leyton Orient can return to the top of League 1 with a win over relegation candidates Bristol City at Brisbane Road this evening.

The O's will be desperate to pick up the three points after suffering late disappointment over the last ten days.

Orient have lost back-to-back league games for the first time this season after last minute goals against Rotherham and Peterborough.

Defender Elliot Omozusi is a major doubt to face the Robins after he went off with a calf injury against the Posh.

Orient boss Russell Slade said: "It's important that we can't sulk. This is all part of the journey and we've got to get back to winning ways. The reality is we need to get to that 75 point mark. That's our next stop. We need to get there and ensure we're in the play-offs.

"That's the most important thing and then from there we can see how many games we've got left to see if we can push on. But at this moment in time the next game is the most important thing for this football club."

Striker David Mooney knows the importance of tonight's game with a difficult trip to Preston next up on Saturday.

Mooney said: "It's just important that we don't lose the game. You don't want to be going to Preston after losing three on the bounce so Tuesday's obviously massive for both clubs. Bristol are at the other end of the table and they're going to be dogging it out.

"I think the pitch cut up a bit during the second half [on Saturday] so I don't think it's going to be one for the purists but hopefully we can get a good result."
