Leyton Orient's promotion hopes have received a major boost after Hull City goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic returned to the club on loan.

The O's have lost their last three games, conceding seven goals, after Jakupovic was recalled by the Premier League club due to the suspension of Allan McGregor.

Jakupovic made a big impression during his brief time at Brisbane Road as he kept three clean sheets in four games.

The Bosnian shot stopper has returned to complete the remainder of his 93-day loan with Orient and will come back into the side for Saturday's trip to Preston.

Shwan Jalal, on loan from Bournemouth, has been at fault for several goals in his two appearances for the club and manager Russell Slade hinted at a move for Jakupovic after Tuesday's loss to Bristol City.

Slade said: "It’s safe to say I want to help the group as much as I possibly can. If that means we can do something in the loan market and it’s feasible then I will do that to try and help.”
