Premier Division

League leaders Southminster St Leonards were held to a 2-2 draw by Bishops Stortford Swifts on Saturday.

The point ensured Southminster maintain a six-point lead at the top, while Swifts dropped to third in the table on goal difference.

Nathan Clarke and Ross Adams netted for Southminster but it wasn’t enough as James Thomas and Gavin Cockman found the net for their opponents.

However, late heroics from Southminster keeper Sean Hinton made sure the leaders claimed a point as he saved a last-minute penalty.

Swifts were replaced in second by Frenford Senior who drew 1-1 at Buckhurst Hill. Chris Stowe netted for Hill.

Sam Raven and Antony Aylett grabbed second-half goals to secure a 2-0 win for Hannakins Farm against Wadham Lodge. The result lifted Farm up to fifth in the table.

Reece Cosson struck twice for bottom-of-the-table Harold Hill but it wasn’t enough as they were beaten 5-2 by Harold Wood Athletic.

The win saw Athletic open a six-point gap over White Ensign, who occupy the other relegation position after they lost 2-0 at home to Kelvedon Hatch.

Jake Marsh scored on his Kelvedon debut with Lee Newton grabbing the other goal.

A Lewis Manor brace plus one each for Aaron Russell and Francis Hession-Harris helped Rayleigh Town overcome Manford Way 4-2. Stuart Houghton and Damian Yoxall were the Manford scorers.

Toch Singh notched for Newbury Forest with Ryan Parker doing likewise for May & Baker E.C. in a 1-1 draw.

Division One

Top-of-the-table Hutton saw their lead cut to three points after they suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat at the hands of Springfield.

Steve Wareham netted a hat-trick while Ross Lamb grabbed a brace and Andy Elgar also scored.

The win moved Springfield into second place after the local derby between Leigh Ramblers and Benfleet ended 1-1.

The point saw Leigh pushed out of the promotion zone on goal difference while Benfleet moved up to ninth in the division.

Old Barkabbeyans lost to fellow relegation battlers Herongate Athletic 1-0 via an Andrew Wands effort.

Goals from Gareth Burton, Ryan Sutton and James Ward earned Old Chelmsfordians a point in a 3-3 draw with Old Southendian. The visitors replied through Thomas Judge, David Stubbs and Oliver Tatton-Bennett.

Hanzy Jomandy helped Newham United clinch a 1-0 win at Westhamians.

The win moved Newham up to fifth and, with three games in hand, they could come into promotion contention if they continue their good form.

Division Two

Ben Polley scored his 29th goal of the season to secure a 1-0 win for Ongar Town against Debden Sports.

Ongar sit at the top off the table with a seven-point lead over Shenfield AFC, who themselves gained maximum points.

Shenfield claimed a 3-0 win against Ryan thanks to goals from Bill Texeria (2) and Ben Absalom while Runwell Hospital gained a 2-0 win at Basildon Town with Roland Etheridge and Aaron Rix on target.

Broomfield had Nic Horsnell and Aaron Elvin on the scoresheet but the bottom club ended up losing 3-2 to Roydon. Naz Kargi, Frank Compton and Mohamed Benzid helped Roydon collect all the points.

Upminster pulled themselves out the drop zone after a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Lakeside. The win moved them up to ninth and means Ryan have dropped back into the relegation zone.

Division Three

Sungate extended their unbeaten run to eight matches after they overcame league leaders Rochford Town 4-0.

Spencer Pitfield broke the deadlock in the first half and top scorer David Whiting bagged a brace in the second. The victory was completed when Max Holt netted a fine solo effort.

Stambridge United put five goals past Leytonstone United in a 5-1 victory. Gavin Moloney bagged a brace while there were singles from Ben Higgs, Taylor Carter and Christopher Beardwell. Alex Blaze grabbed a consolation for Leytonstone.

Catholic United claimed a 5-0 win against lowly Forest Glade. Jack Jones and Lewis Smith each scored twice with Mike Gerrard also on target.

Ramsden Scotia beat Epping 2-0 with the goals coming from Anthony Driscoll and Steve Paoletti.
