West Ham are considering signing French World Cup squad member Mathieu Valbuena, according to the Daily Mail.
The midfielder is valued at £8million and is also being linked with a number of other clubs, including Liverpool, Valencia and Napoli.
Since joining Olympique Marseille in 2006 he has scored 38 goals in all competitions but his agent admitted last week he may want to leave the Ligue 1 side after he concludes his World Cup duties.
“Nothing is set, there is no fixed destination, there is contact with certain clubs in different European leagues," Jean Pierre Bernes told French radio station, Europe 1.
Valbuena has started all of France’s World Cup group matches this summer and found the net in their 5-2 win over Switzerland
