Sylvia Bloomfield and Barbara Low have reached the Ladies Essex County Pairs quarter-finals.
The pair enjoyed a convincing win over Wanstead Central in the County D Area Final and will now play for a place in the County semi-finals at Great Baddow on July 9.
Bloomfield and Low were part of the victorious Ladies Essex County Fours side who reached the County quarter-finals, along with Doris Stock and Janet Carrington.
A win over Halex in the County D Area Final was enough to secure the foursome’s place in the quarter-finals on July 6.
Glen Stephens, Maureen Clark and Derek Friend were winners of the inaugural ‘Ten For Jack’ competition held at Buckhurst Hill Bowls Club.
The triples event involves a scoring process whereby ten points are awarded for the shot nearest the jack.
