Leyton Orient have made former Watford goalkeeper Gary Woods their third summer signing and their second since the takeover by Francesco Becchetti.

Woods, 23, joins the O's on a two-year contract after his year-long deal at Vicarage Road expired at the end of June.

The 6ft1in gloveman was not offered a new contract by the Hornets after moving to WD18 on a free transfer from Doncaster Rovers in 2013.

Kettering-born Woods began his career at Cambridge United before joining Manchester United in 2007.

Released after just one season at Old Trafford, Woods was picked up by Doncaster Rovers following his United release.

Woods joined Rovers in 2009 but had to wait until the 2012/13 season - his final campaign at the club - to establish himself as the club's first-choice keeper.

Woods made 49 appearances in all competitions as the South Yorkshire side were promoted from League One as champions on a dramatic final day, before opting to join the Hornets with his contract at the Keepmoat Stadium up.

Signed as cover for Manuel Almunia and Jonathan Bond, Woods was an unused substitute on nine occasions for the Golden Boys last term.

Woods becomes Orient's second addition in the goalkeeping department this summer following the addition of former Derby County keeper Adam Legdzins.

Probably one GK: Bond out on loan with a 24 hour recall clause
