West Ham boss Sam Allardyce is looking to sign Manchester United pair Ashley Young and Wilfried Zaha on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils pair found themselves out of favour at Old Trafford last season, with Zaha spending the second half of the season on loan at Cardiff City.

Young, 29, cost United £17m when he joined from Aston Villa in 2011 but after a promising start, the former Watford wideman has fallen way down the pecking order.

Injuries have hampered the 30-cap England international's time at the club, whilst Young has also found himself at the centre of diving controversy on more than one occasion during his time at Manchester United.

Twenty-one-year-old Zaha only moved to Old Trafford last January, joining in a £15m deal before being immediately loaned back to Championship side Crystal Palace, who he helped win promotion to the top-flight.

Used sparingly by former United boss David Moyes during the first half of the season, Zaha was loaned to relegation-bound Cardiff City in January after just 28 minutes of Premier League action for the Red Devils.

In five months in South Wales, Zaha made just 12 appearances for Cardiff - five starts - as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side failed to avoid a swift return to the second tier.
