Chingford swimmer Dan Fogg will compete in the Commonwealth Games 1,500m freestyle final tonight.

Fogg qualified as the joint sixth fastest for the event at the Tollcross Swimming Centre, which is expected to start at 8.23pm.

The 26-year-old's time of 15.10.88 in qualifying was more than seven seconds slower than Canada's Ryan Cochrane and Scotland's Stephen Milne.

Fogg's Commonwealth Games campaign started in disappointing fashion on Thursday as he failed to progress in the 400m freestyle after finishing sixth in his heat.

He then helped England to qualify for the 4x200m freestyle final on Sunday by swimming the final leg as they finished fourth.

But he was omitted from the final quartet as England changed all four swimmers for that evening's final.
