Colchester United have signed West Ham midfielder George Moncur on a five-month loan deal until January 2015.
Moncur, 20, is the son of former Hammer John Moncur and links up with the League One U's on a deal which will expire in the new year.
"I'm really pleased to be here, it's a great step up for me from my two loans in League Two and Scotland," he told the club's website.
"It's also a step up from Under-21s football because you're playing for proper league points, it'll be a great experience for me."
The Swindon-born midfielder made two substitute appearances on loan at SPL side Partick Thistle last season, totalling just 32 minutes.
A former England Under-18 international, Moncur has also gained loan experience with AFC Wimbledon, making 20 league appearances during the 2011/12 campaign.
Moncur made his Irons debut against Crewe Alexandra in 2012, making his second appearance in last season's 5-0 FA Cup defeat at Nottingham Forest.
