Woodford Green with Essex Ladies' Tiffany Porter has reached the semi-finals of the women's 100m hurdles at the European Athletics Championships.

The 26-year-old Brit reached the semi-finals by winning heat four of the qualifiers earlier this afternoon in Zurich.

Porter, who recently took silver in the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, finished in a time of 12.69, putting her just ahead of Switzerland's Noemi Zbaren, who crossed the line in 12.95.

Belgian Eline Berings rounded off the top three, qualifying for the semis in 13.00.

The semi-finals will be contested this evening, with any potential final for the Woodford Green athlete to take place on Wednesday.
