West Ham United have been dumped out of the Capital One Cup on penalties by Sheffield United at Upton Park.
The Hammers took the lead through Diafra Sakho on his debut when he headed home in the first half.
But the League 1 side equalised and forced extra time after a 58th minute own goal from Winston Reid.
The second round tie went to penalties and Enner Valencia's effort was saved by Mark Howard as the visitors edged to a 5-4 win.
