East London Runners’ Stuart Kelly marked his first Wanstead Park Run by finishing sixth at Wanstead Flats on Saturday.

A time of 19.32 meant Kelly’s maiden park run saw him finish comfortably in a comfortable top-ten position. Just ahead of him in a time of 18.33, was James Wilson, who finished third overall at Wanstead.

There was a seventh-place finish for Daniel Slipper, who crossed the line in a time of 19.35.

Derek Wright was competing in his 150th parkrun and finished in a very respectable 20th-place after recording a time of 22.12.

Celia Payaneeandee was the first lady to cross the line, finishing 24th overall, with a time of 22.32.

Also in the top 50 at Wanstead were Keiran Brown (23.27), who came 29th, Lauren Ashton (23.52), who finished in 33rd place, Sarah Burns (24.03), who came home in 33rd, Suzanne Bench (24.57) who was 37th, Bernadett Kalmar (25.03), completed the course in 40th place and in 49th position was Maud Hodson (25.50).

On Sunday, Grant Conway came 24th in the Finsbury Park 10km, posting a time of 49.37.

In the Pleshey and Essex half marathon, Danny Lee was East London Runners’ highest-placed runner, coming 29th with a time of 1.23.29.

Just a place behind was Patrick Brown (1.23.54), whilst Andre Baxter (1.26.49) came in 46th place.

Ava Lee (1.30.41) was the fifth-placed lady - finishing 77th overall.
