Leyton Orient will travel to Sheffield United this weekend hoping to pick up their first league win under caretaker boss Kevin Nugent.

Nugent has been offered the head coach role at Brisbane Road and it is understood he has been presented with a formal contract this week as the club close in on their permanent replacement for Russell Slade.

The O's have lost their last two League 1 games but did claim a welcome victory at Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

Looking forward to tomorrow's game, Nugent said: “It’s a big game for us but what a great match. You’re going to Bramall Lane with 15 to 20,000 there and the players are all looking forward to it already.”

Defender Mathieu Baudry is a doubt for the match after going off with a tight hamstring during Tuesday night's victory.

But midfielder Jack Price could make his debut after joining on a three-month loan from Wolves.

Nugent said: "He’s [Price] a good footballer. He likes to get on the ball and dictate play. He played 30 games for Wolves last season and they obviously won the league. He’s really good and he comes highly recommended. I’ve seen him a few times and it’s good to have him on board.”

The O's are unbeaten away from home this season but will face a difficult test this weekend against a side which recently defeated them 1-0 in the Capital One Cup.
