Leyton Orient boss Mauro Milanese has described his side's home clash with Crewe tomorrow as a "massive game".

Milanese is still waiting for his first league victory after two defeats and a draw. The club are also without a win at home in the league this season which only increases the significance of this weekend's match.

He said: “It’s a massive game for us against Crewe. It’s very important but it’s also not the end of the world.

“We have won only three out of 17 league matches and we are suffering in the table at the moment.

“This game is important and we will give everything to win.”

There is no sign of Orient’s injury woes easing after another two players were ruled out of this weekend’s match.

Defender Shane Lowry will miss the clash after suffering a calf injury in the defeat at Gillingham while a pulled hamstring has also sidelined top scorer Jay Simpson.

Jobi McAnuff returned from international duty with Jamaica yesterday but, after a busy schedule and long flight, he is unlikely to make an immediate return to the side.

Milanese said: “He will have played four games in seven days and also had jet lag so I don’t know if he will be able to play from the start. I will have to see what his fitness is like.”

But Andrea Dossena should make his home debut after his first appearance last weekend. Striker David Mooney could also return to the starting XI for the first time in a couple of months after coming off the bench on Saturday following an ankle injury.

Romain Vincelot will also continue in midfield after returning to the side against the Gills after his minor knee operation.
