Epping Upper Clapton rugby club suffered only their second defeat of the season after losing 8-0 against May and Baker in Essex League One.
The Epping side went into Saturday’s contest on the back of four consecutive victories but were unable to maintain their good form and were beaten in a tight game at Dagenham Road.
There was success for the club’s youth sides. The Under-15s produced a classy display to comfortably overcome Stanford Le Hope whilst the Under-13s battled their way to a 26-25 win against South Woodham Ferrers.
