Premier Division
May & Baker EC ‘A’ fell to just their second league defeat of the season as they went down 1-0 at Jolof Sports Club.
Defeat means May have seen their lead at the summit cut to just two points, with Jolof, immediately below in second place, hot on their tail for the title.
In third place, Chingford Athletic edged past Cranes United 3-2 through goals from David Andrew Livie, Lee Bowers and Michael Mignot.
Chingford Town ran out 3-1 winners against Chingford Harriers, who netted a consolation through Dan Pereira.
There was an entertaining 3-3 draw between Rainham Working Men’s Club and Melbourne Sports, though the point does little for either side.
Newham Reserves were held to a 2-2 draw by basement boys Eastside Rangers (London Community).
Division One
Top-of-the-league Blue Marlin underlined their superiority by beating Glendale 6-0.
Keiron James (2), Chibueze Anyaebu, Matthew Hamilton, James Toppin and Rory McKenzie got the goals.
Three Colts picked up a 2-0 win at Forest Green courtesy of strikes from Nicky Blackwell and Jason Fox.
Third-placed Vittoriosa Falcons were beaten 3-2 at home to London Bari Reserves despite efforts from Daniel Palmer and Matthew Senghore.
Division Two
Izynna Ogedi-Uzokwe stole the show for Cowley Community by helping himself to six goals in a 10-2 win over Canio.
There was also a hat-trick for Mark Farinha and one for Connor Harrington.
Grove United were comfortable winners, beating Custom House 6-0.
Roy Jones and Sam Naylor both scored braces, whilst Neil Matthews and Jamie Pooley were also on target.
Marcel Byfield scored twice as St Francis Reserves beat Singh Sabha Barking 3-1.
Jonny Higgins notched the third as St Francis moved off the bottom of the table.
Leyton Green were 6-2 victors over Dagenham United, a result which keeps them second to Grove on goal difference.
The two sides both have 23 points but United’s superior goal difference of 28 means they sit top of the division.
Wyndell Foster scored a hat-trick, with Bradley O’Donavan (2) and Charlie Sherwood also getting in on the act.
Northend Reserves and Newham Royals played out a 1-1 draw, with Taga Deghayes and Richard Smith the respective scorers.
League Cup Round Three
St Francis prevailed 5-4 against West Essex Reserves in an entertaining clash.
Joseph Bradley and Thomas Jakob both bagged braces and Martin Robinson snatched the other for the victors.
