Fabio Liverani insists he is not worried about losing his job and still believes Leyton Orient can avoid relegation despite losing 2-0 at home to Bradford.

The O's lost their fourth consecutive match at Brisbane Road to remain in the relegation zone and leave fans fearing the worst.

Orient boss Liverani, speaking via a translator, said: "I'm doing my job the best I can. Of course this is part of football but I'm not worried. I have to say when I arrived here the situation in the league table wasn't much better and I had 15 injured players at the first training session so hopefully we are on the right track."

Liverani accepts owner Francesco Becchetti will be concerned by their position in the League One table but believes he inherited a difficult situation.

The Italian said: "I am sure he is as worried as we are when you look at the league table. But at the same time I'm aware we can get out of this situation because we've got the ability and determination to come out of this position in the table. We are very close to each other so I believe we can make it."

Liverani was booed by supporters after taking off Dean Cox for Ryan Hedges in the second half. But the O's boss confirmed the winger asked to come off due to injury.

He said: "It's another time when from the stands you don't really pick up what's happenning. Cox asked for a substitution himself because he had a problem with his thigh. We waited a few minutes because Bradley Pritchard was supposed to come off but then Cox asked for a substitution."
