Leyton Orient midfielder Marvin Bartley believes the team need to man up and be more physical after saying "too many of us bottled tackles" against Bradford.

The O's slumped to their fourth consecutive home defeat last night to leave them second bottom in League One with only 16 games to avoid relegation.

Bartley said: "We have to stand up and be men. I think too many of us bottled tackles today. I don't think we were physical enough and it's time we stand up and be counted because if we don't then we're going to be in trouble.

"It's down to the players individually. The skipper Nathan Clarke said before the game it was going to be a battle. We know what Bradford are about. We've got to put our bodies on the line and at times I don't think we did today."

When asked to clarify why he thought this, Bartley replied: "I'm not saying they bottled them. I'm just saying I don't think we've been as physical as we possibly could have. I think they've looked after themselves in tackles and at times we haven't. That's football and we need to man up."
