Leyton Orient Advanced Soccer Schools (LOASS) girls Under-15s are celebrating reaching the semi-finals of the Essex League Cup after winning 2-1 against Leigh Ramblers Black.
Despite trailing for much of the match, LOASS scored twice in the last ten minutes to snatch victory from a Ramblers side who had dominated proceedings.
Elsewhere, the Under-12 girls secured a 4-0 win in a top four clash against Upminster Rangers Park (UPR) thanks largely to a hat-trick from Brogan Jeffers-Cass.
She opened her account shortly after half time with a smartly-taken close-range effort at the end of a flowing team move.
Jeffers-Cass was then in the right place at the right time to turn the ball home after a LOASS corner had led to a goalmouth scramble.
Josie Burke added the third before Jeffers-Cass raced through on goal and slid a neat finish under the onrushing UPR goalkeeper’s arm to complete her hat-trick late on.
