Leyton Orient midfielder Lloyd James made his comeback for the Reserves in their 3-1 defeat at Portsmouth this afternoon.

James has been out since September after breaking his leg against Rochdale. But the midfielder played 60 minutes of the game as he bids to return to the first team and help the side avoid relegation from League One.

The O's are struggling for numbers in midfield with Jobi McAnuff and Ryan Hedges both away for this weekend's game with Port Vale due to international duty. Romain Vincelot is also out for the season with medial ligament damage.

It is possible James could be in the squad for Saturday's match although a starting place seems highly unlikely.

Orient are also still looking to sign another midfielder on loan before Thursday's emergency loan window shuts.
