Leyton Orient head coach Ian Hendon admits the option of sending Jobi McAnuff out on loan is a possibility.
The Jamaica international midfielder has yet to feature for the first team this season and is one of the top wage earners at the club.
McAnuff was hoping to secure a move to the Championship but failed to land a deal despite having a trial at Blackburn Rovers last month.
The 33-year-old played last week for the reserves against Stevenage but was only given the last 14 minutes of the O’s 1-0 win over Luton Town in the Final Third Development League on Tuesday.
When asked on Saturday if a loan was an option, Hendon said: "Possibly. It's not about that. He played on Tuesday at Stevenage for the reserves and the game didn't go too well.
"But that's not just him because there are a few players out there in that game and it didn't go well. He's here and training so we'll just have to wait and see."
