Chelsea and Roma are weighing up a move for West Ham centre-back Angelo Ogbonna according to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian international joined the Hammers from Juventus last summer and he proved to be a crucial part of Slaven Bilic’s side during the 2015/16 season, making 34 appearances and scoring once.

His form for the East London club has seemingly not gone unnoticed, with Di Marzio reporting that the centre half is a target for new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

Roma are also understood to be interested in the 28-year-old, with the Serie A side reportedly looking for another defender to partner Kostas Manolas at the back.
